Creative Commissions 2023

To celebrate our seventh year we are once again funding a number of exciting creative commissions, which will be released and showcased as part of WOTFEST SEVEN in May 2023. We are funding four commissions this year, and will pay £250.00 for each. We are accepting proposals now.

The idea behind this strand is to support the creation of brand new work, to highlight and celebrate great beer things, and to pay talented creators to do something they love.

This year we were looking for creative responses to our theme: BEER FOR EVERYONE.

This can be as literal, or as abstract as the creator likes - a feature on or depiction of someone or something in particular; something that represents the achievements or impact of a group or organisation; something that captures the spirit or mood of a personal experience - or something else entirely.

The commissions may result in an article, podcast, poem, piece of music, photography, illustration, painting, short film, or something else.

The final pieces will be released online, one on each day of the festival starting on Thursday 25th May.

TO SUBMIT YOUR IDEA:

Please send by Sunday 16th April 2023 to create@womenontap.co.uk:

• A short summary of your idea (around 300 words) to include information on the format you would supply it in for digital use

• A few words on why you would love to be part of WOTFEST SEVEN

• Examples of previous similar work you’ve done (one or two is fine)

Please note that all final pieces will need to be received by us in a suitable digital format by Friday 19th May 2023.
