Panel: A conversation with Women in Beer

Are you interested in a career in beer, or already working in the beer industry?

Join us as part of an audience with a panel of women from several leading breweries as we talk about being a women in the beer industry.

On Friday 6th May a panel of women from a range of beer industry roles are coming together to chat about their jobs and personal experiences in the industry, how beer needs to change to get more women interested, and how companies need to change to get more women into roles such as brewing, production, creative, communications, management, and beer leadership.

Women On Tap will host the conversation with:

Katie Brown, Taproom & Events Manager at Track Brewing Company

‘Keeper of Sonoma! I make sure the taproom is filled with good vibes and good people and great events.’


Amy Haselden, In-house Designer at Track Brewing Company

‘I get to design beer labels, social media assets, and all things craft beer related.’


Aleksandra Jach, Brewery Assistant at Track Brewing Company

‘I manage each stage of the cellaring process and ensure optimal processing conditions. I also maintain cellar records, such as fermentation logs, transfer logs and cleaning logs.’


Nadia Jackson, Marketing and Social Media Manager at Brew York

‘I lead on the daily marketing activities of the business, communicating the brand to our various audiences. I oversee brand development, social media, content development, email marketing, website management, creative direction and design agency management to support and drive the overall business strategy.’


Nadia Spencer, Assistant Brewer at Brew York

'I am an Assistant Brewer and currently studying on an apprenticeship program. I work across all areas of beer production from brewing wort to packaging.'


Verity Clarke, Director at Amity Brew Co

‘ I head up all the communications including marketing, social media and community relations for the brewery and brewpub. As a part owner of the business (and wife of founder Russ) I sit at board level and work in the bar so I’m experienced in all areas of the business.’


Fay Parrish, Operations Director at Thornbridge Taps Ltd

‘I’m Operations Director for Thornbridge Taps and I manage pubs and venues for Thornbridge Brewery in and around Sheffield and Derbyshire.’


Isobel Cameron, Digital Marketing Coordinator at Roosters Brewing Co.

‘Although it is still early days for me in this role, I’m looking forward to getting stuck in. Alongside my involvement with Women On Tap, I hope to bring more diversity initiatives to the family-run brewery and I already have plans to collaborate with face equality charity, Changing Faces.’


The panel will be hosted by Rachel Auty, founder of Women On Tap CIC, and Nichola Bottomley, WOT Festival Coordinator, part of The Disappearing Chin team, and all-round beer guru.

The event will take place in the upstairs Sample Room at Roosters Brewery taproom and will be run in an informal ‘audience with’ format for anyone who would like to come along and listen to the discussion and/ or contribute.
